BACK-TO-SCHOOL: AUGUST ANGELS

Summertime brings laughter of children on the playground and in the pools - what a sound! Summertime is also the time for Koinonia to prepare backpacks for kids at back-to-school time.

Last year we help over 220 children. Each child received a backpack stuffed with all the necessary supplies, a new outfit, and gift card for shoes from Payless Shoes. With your help, we will be able to help our school-aged children again this year.

Volunteers Needed

Monday, August 16 - Friday, August 20: Hope United Church of Christ, 6130 Old Telegraph Road, Alexandria

Volunteer hours for August Angels will be 9am - 1pm; volunteers will work at Hope United Church of Christ. Volunteers will sort and organize donations, and fill backpacks for children. VOLUNTEER AGE IS: 13 YEARS OLD (with adult) AND OLDER.
