It may not look like it outside, but the spring/summer season has begun at Koinonia!   If you have gently used spring and summer clothes that you would like to donate, please drop them off during our normal office hours.  If you need clothing, please feel free to call in.  If you live within our service area, we may be able to help!

"Stamp Out Hunger" Food Drive - May 13th

Join us in supporting this year's Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on Saturday, May 13th!

This is the day that US Postal Letter Carriers throughout the United States will be collecting non-perishable food items from your mail box, your door step, your apartment mail room.   All food collected stays local. Food banks in the Alexandria area received a record 80,000 pounds of food in 2016!

Food collected in the 22310 & 22315 zip codes covered in the Koinonia service area will all go to Koinonia!  But if you live outside the Koinonia service area, we hope that you will still participate - all food collected in your zip code will go to the local food bank that covers that area.

This is a nationwide effort, but do check with your local post office

if you want to make sure carriers are picking up food in your zip code.
